What we actually are

We are a licensed tour operator based in Labuan Bajo, running guided trips through Komodo National Park. The boats are ours and the guides are local, which is the difference between a schedule that bends to the weather and one that cannot.

  • Guides licensed by the Indonesian tourism ministry, with nine years on these routes.
  • Speedboats for day trips and traditional phinisi for overnight, operated rather than resold.
  • Life jackets, radio and a first aid kit on every departure, without exception.
  • Rated 4.9 from more than 2,800 verified reviews, and a TripAdvisor Travellers Choice Award in 2025.
  • Part of Juara Holding Group, alongside operators across Indonesia.

Why the weather call matters

The crossing to Padar is open water. In January and February it can turn quickly, and a boat that has already taken your money has an incentive to sail anyway.

We call it the night before and again at the harbour, and if the sea is unsafe your date moves at no cost. That policy costs us departures. It is also the single most important thing on this page.

How we work

Four things we do differently enough to be worth writing down.

We quote, we do not list

Private prices move with boat, season and headcount. You get a real number for your dates rather than a figure we would have to walk back.

Local crew, not imported

The guides are from Flores and have been on these routes for years. They read the tide and the light, not a script.

Ahead of the crowd

Departures are timed so you are on the ridge for first light, before the boats that leave after breakfast.

One conversation, not a form

Everything runs through WhatsApp with a person who knows the boats. No booking engine guessing what is free.
